Shure SM5B

With the microphone business being so competitive these days, why doesn't Shure re-release the SM5B? It seems to be in
high demand. If they still have the tooling, they'd just need to ship it to Mexico.

I just learned about the SM5C that has a built-in high-pass filter. Is it defeatable?

Some people have said that the SM5B is just an SM57 in a large windscreen. Is there any truth to that?
