power conditioning ... is it required ... opinions wanted
Hi all,
I am new to the tube world. I just bought my first single ended amp and there is no going back, duh right? My question to you is this: What type of power conditioning should I be doing if any? I did buy a low/mid grade Aperature power cable for the amp but have done nothing with my CD player yet. I have had a $400 montster power conditioner which after about 1 year developed an annoying transformer buzz so its gone. I have an old Panamax conditioner but I'm wondering if less is more and I should just go to the wall. Any opinions would be valued. I tend to get a little caught up with adding things in the chain as it were. |
