Default Black Oktava MK012

I just picked up one of these on ebay. When I got it out of the box, I
found that its got a kind of black textured finish with gold writing on the
body and all of the capsules. It's also got "2002r" on the opposite side to
the "Oktava" label. All of the others I have seen have been silver colored.
Is this significant? What does it all mean?

a) You obtained one of the rare, *VINTAGE* Octava MB-012s, manufactured
during the early Brezhnev era. Reputedly warmer and smoother sounding than
new ones.

b) You obtained a mic that is not what the seller purported to be selling.

c) You obtained a great microphone that someone got bored with, so they
thought they'd change the tone by anodizing the case and changing the the
model number. Because they forgot to remove the electronics and capsule
when they dipped it in the anodizing vat, they succeeded in changing the
tone.

Joking, joking....except maybe for b?

Nah, its definietely a MK012, its labelled at that on the "Oktava" side, and
looks like a professional finish.

Oh well, it doesn't really matter, it works fine, and has all original
packing etc. just curious....
