Default Concerning an Audiobahn Amp...

Does anyone have any thoughts on an Audiobahn A8000T? I was looking to
match it with my JL 10" W7 and didn't know if it would be the right amp
for the job. It is
about 600W at 3 ohms and I have heard some good things. Agreements or
disagreements...

from what i hear audiobahn is mostly looks not function, spl isn't so bad
but sq is horrible. I've heard good things about Hifonics just make sure
you get it from an authorized dealer cause sometimes they do burn out (never
heard of one going out that was wired at or above 1ohm though) just my
opinion and its not even really mine, just what i've heard

because i'm going by what i've heard, and my response was far more relevant
than yours, he may have gotten information from mine but only realized from
yours that you're a total jackass.

No, your response was worthless. You had absolutely no input to offer,
because "what you heard" is a complete line of bull****. Hell, you're
borrowing someone else's bull**** opinion and you can't even attempt to
defend the bull**** because it's not your own.

its hearsay and its more information that you've provided. Just because its
hearsay doesn't mean its bull****, it means its hearsay. If i was trying
to bull**** him i wouldn't have said it was hearsay. Why would i want to
defend it? you say my response is worthless but you've done nothing but
clutter up the thread even more. good job dumbass

Useless/misinformed/unintelligible information is worse than no information.

Just because its

The hearsay is bull****. It has no basis in fact.

If i was trying
to bull**** him i wouldn't have said it was hearsay. Why would i want to
defend it?

I didn't say you had any motives behind it. I don't think you were trying
to deceive him. I think you simply expressed a stupid opinion that wasn't
even yours. Not generally a good idea, don't you agree?

ok this is my last reply to you, i've seen your other posts and have yet to
see you post anything but bitching, go take some midol and stop trying to
cut people's posts down. I told him it wasn't my info it was what i've been
told, and i was told by reputable people. That isn't an invitation for you
to do your typical "sand in your vagina" post.

For the original poster, here's some sites i found just offhand of other
people's opinions once again, not my experience, but theirs. 2nd hand info
is still info just not as reliable.

http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/4/7625.html

http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread/t-53833.html -celestra's post

http://forums.evolutionm.net/archive...p/t-98675.html

These show that there are mixed feelings but most people are agreeing they
are overpriced and just not a good brand

I like audiobahn and have had no problems with them. I have 2 audiobahn
A2300HCT amps pushing 4 Audiobahn AWT12X subs in an enclosure I designed.
These amps have lasted over 2 years with me pounding the crap out of them
with no problems. I run them at 1ohm and they have never failed me. I can
hit 154db all day, not insane, but not bad for 4 twelves. As far as sound
quality, it's a sub, keep any interference away from the signals and you'll
be fine. I can't speak on Audiobahn sq for components, I use a DLS A4 and MB
Quart QSD 216 and they sound amazing.

Such as?

I made 9 posts yesterday (not including this thread), and none of them
contained any "bitching." You've now resorted to lying? Quit being so
thin-skinned. If you say something stupid, be prepared to back it up.
Don't go crying to mommy when someone calls you on the uselessness of your
post.

"Just not as reliable." Great.

So, answer my original question: if you didn't know the answer, why did you
feel compelled to respond? Clearly it was wrong. If it was something you
had experienced, you'd be able to back it up with, at the very least, some
anecdotal evidence. Instead, you're left only with - "well that's what some
guy said. stop being so mean to me."

Great posts. "Audiobahn is a lousy company." Celestra writes "Cheap amps
sound harsh and compressed with a closed sound stage." Classic! Must be
the magic beans inside that give them that harsh, compressed sound.

In other words, you've got nothing else of substance to post.
Misinformation a-plenty on the internet. Gotta love it.

Audiobahn amps are great, don't listen to the idiots that say they aren't. I
have an A2300HCT pushing a single AW1208T sub in a mustang, and it sounds
great.

Even pushing 2400w @1ohm , it stays relatively cool. Not to mention, they
look great. The only gripe I have about my amp is it's size, 25" long.

yeah, 4000w peak. I'm actually planning to switch to 1amp per sub(add 2 more
amps) for just under 10kw.

Nice, I've got a single AW1208T (I could only fit 1 unfortunately) in a
Mustang in a 2.5ft^2 enclosure tuned to 36hz with ~2400w going to it and it
sounds great. I can't imagine 4

My single 12 is almost as loud as an Audiobahn 1805x that I had in an
Explorer.

streetwires alternator, 3 optima yellow batteries directly below the amps, 0
gauge wire for power going from alternator to my 2 farad caps( used more as
a "bus bar" for power connections than for caps as 2 farads is not enough),
4 gauge going to each amp.
