Default cables

Anyone has any experience with BlueJean Cables (www.bluejeanscable.com)?
They seem to be offering good cables at reasonable prices. I am looking to
buy but want to make sure they are good quality. Or any other suggestions?

Thanks.

I had a quick browse and am pleased to report that my bull**** meter
registered ZERO!. If I had to buy cables I would by them from this company.

Not happy with the response from r.a.o ?

I'm sure you'll find any intelligent person will be delighted to hear about
their lack of voodoo and their use of quality components.

I'm sure you'll be very happy with any product you purchase from them and can
rest assured that you don't have to pray to the great audiophool god in the sky
every night to ensure their continued performance !

The website appears to be down.

But how are they better than cables you make up yourself using quality
components? No terribly hard skills are required.

No hard skills, but a lot of time. For what Markertek and Gepco charge to
make custom cables up, I'm very happy to let them do it. It's quick and
easy to make a mike cable up, but it's not so much fun when you need fifty
of them...

I just got one response from r.a.o, so I was looking for a wider audience to
comment on the post. Thanks for your responses both here and on r.a.o

Up here in Canada its easier to buy the cables.
Just in case your electrical inspector decides to be a dick.
because they carry 48v phantom the mic cables fall under the electrical
inspectors jurisdiction. they have to be inspected before they are legal if
you build them yourself.

You can get better results by burning your money and letting the fumes waft
over your equipment.

Actually, I remember looking at Bluejean Cables some time ago. Their idea
of good cables seemed to be flexible double-shielded RG-6 (can't remember
the Belden #, but they tell you what it is and why they chose it) with
quality connectors, sold for something like 30% more than the cost of the
parts. Note that they were selling this stuff for video.

In other words, they just make proper cables and price them reasonably.
No stupid magic.

Does anyone know what the difference between the Canare RCAP-C5F and the
RCAP-C77
(http://www.canare.com/index.cfm?obje...83AA729BC22994)
is? Why can I not use the same die to crimp both the cables if like some
people suggest its only the center pin that is different.

Does anyone also have TS-100E or TS-5C Canare wire stripper for sale or know
any place where I can but it cheap?

Thanks.

But where's that special feeling of pride that comes from having spent too
much?

How else can you impress your friends unless you **** away $10,000 on cables
connecting $2000 worth of equipment?
