The Joys of the New Year
Hi RATs!
The surf guitar music continues to enchant this solitary confinement cell Some of them sound as if their manager (or parent) made them record while sober I have played Kelpman in the Pacific in California and New South Wales. My paternal grandmother was born in the old Wales. Small World! Plenty of morons trying to kill the bad guys. Hang Ten! Al |

The surf guitar music continues to enchant this solitary confinement cell Some of them sound as if their manager (or parent) made them record while sober I have played Kelpman in the Pacific in California and New South Wales. Bondi in Sydney, one of my favourite surf (bunny) beaches in the world, second only to Kuta in Bali for real surfing, magic as the sun goes down, a lethal lottery in the dark as the locals come out and make no allowances for the lesser skills of the tourists still on the water. My paternal grandmother was born in the old Wales. Mmm, by the time I got to stop in Wales, I was middle-aged and had a child (the reason for stopping), no longer a surfer, so I don't know about the quality of the waves. But on the way from our pad in London to Ireland, we used to call in at Tenby for tea, and the rocks looked a bit uninviting. There are some beaches in South Africa that surf well -- that's where I learned -- but on the whole the best surfing is on Pacific coastlines. Small World! Plenty of morons trying to kill the bad guys. Right, let's direct our efforst to where we can make more than a marginal difference. From now on, let's only kill good guys. Hang Ten! Unless you're deformed, then you can Hang Eleven. And a feelgood New Year to you, Al. Keep the tubes burning! André Jute I bought a Kindle so I wrote a book for it, and published another from my backlist on it: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004GXAZAM http://www.amazon.com/IDITAROD-novel...f=pd_rhf_p_t_1 Author Central pages: http://www.amazon.com/-/e/B001K1KSHI http://www.amazon.co.uk/-/e/B001K1KSHI |

André Jute I bought a Kindle so I wrote a book for it, and published another from my backlist on it:http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004GXAZAMh...ok/dp/B004GKMQ... Author Central pages: *http://www.amazon.com/-/e/B001K1KSHI *http://www.amazon.co.uk/-/e/B001K1KSHI They say the best surfing in the western world is at Seventeen Seventy, now a "urban growth centre" north of Fraser Island off the Queensland coast. I dunno about the eastern world where third world nations have their shores lapped by a wave or two while the natives rip off the tourists as one sees in Bali. 1770 used to be a tiny place with a couple of shacks like Noosa Heads, and Byron Bay, but its all ****ed up now by land developers. Youse can't get away any more. I bin to Bali, and I can't say I surfed seriously there but frolicked awhile in 1981 in the surf with a dutch sheila almost naked, but who could not speak a word of 'strayan. But at least Bali natives taught me to be happy with nothing. The water at Bondi was more re-freshing though, and there's better Sydney surfing at Nararbeen and a few others of so many along the NSW coast. The girls get around almost naked as well, and are ****able if you know the approach, and, wonder of all wonders, there are far less dangerous things to bite you in the water compared to anywhere tropical, or north of 1770. I surfed a couple of shielas in Bali, and apart from the dutch girl one looked promising in the sense that she might become a wife and we could converse in more than hot grunts. But she seemed to like surfing the bars in a never ending search of male talent which might entertain her during long hot evenings conducive to ****ing. Unfortunately, all surfing rides along any wave come to an end and youse hafta paddle back out for another ride. Such is life. And it seems to me I didn't seem to surf though all areas of life as much as others did and basically I don't stay in contact with anyone I knew from the kickster/thrillster generations who made so sure than youth was wasted upon them. Give me a bench in a shed, and some old bitta gear to fix, and not a living soul to have to deal with, and I'm 'appy in these days between Xmas and NYear. All those nubile shielas are old chooks now, and whatever I ever thought when I was 30 hardly makes any sense any more. Oh, but I like bicycles, music, tubes and swimming. And the trouble is 99% of everyone else doesn't. Patrick Turner. |
