Default Word clock problem

Check to make sure all device settings are set to slave. Check that
Sonar receives sync via spdif. I've had good luck with my Rosetta as
master clock. It makes the system sound great.

I have an Apogee Rosetta 96 A/D that I am attempting to use as a master
clock. It is connected to a Tascam DM24 board and a MOTU 2408 MkII via word
clock cable. There is also a SDIF cable running from the Rosetta to the DM24
that I use to record to Sonar 2.2.

No matter how I connect the word clock cable (daisy chain, star config, with
termination, without termination), I get a periodic hissing sound in my
recorded tracks. If I reconfigure the MOTU card to be the master clock and
sync the DM24 to it, everything works fine.

Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks

Al Garcia
