This MD player is fantastically small, being only slightly larger than
the minidisc itself. It is also very light being constructed of
die-cast magnesium. It is powered by a gum/stick battery that should
last something like 6-8 hours. You can also attact the aux battery
holder containing an AA battery. This boosts playtime up to 20 hours.

Controls include bass-boost, standard playback (shuffle, continuous,
normal), and a volume limiting system. The stick mode controller gives
you a backlight LCD display containing playback mode, battery status,
and program song titles.

Unit is in good condition, and is supplied with carry case, original
box and manuals.

It comes with a Sony original world-travel charger, suitable for
charging NH-14WM, NH-9WM and NH-6WM batteries. This charger has a flip
down US (flat pin) style plug, and comes with a good quality compact US
or continental to UK adaptor. Also included is a small US to European
(round pin) adaptor.

As I got the unit out of storage to test it, I noticed that the battery
was somewhat old although it hadn't yet leaked; so I bought a BRAND NEW
replacement. This alone is worth approx =A310, and is sealed in a bubble
pack. It is a Nickel Metal Hydride 1.2 Volts 1400 mAh High Capacity
Battery (which is better than the original 1200 mAh one).

If you're bidding mainly for the battery, it can be used to replace any
of these ADN-55BT, RB103244, MHB901, NHB901, NC-6WM, NH-6WM, NH-9WM,
NH-10WM. It is 66.5mm x 16.7mm x 5.9mm.

Purchased a few years from a shop in Japan and imported directly to the
UK, but has only been used a few dozen times. Condition is pretty good.
Eject mechanism still works well. Only visible signs of wear are slight
