Get a beep if faceplate isn't removed
Are there any in dash radios that will beep or do something to remind
you to remove the radio faceplate? I think it would help my problem: http://groups.google.com/group/rec.a...76748e37bddeb1. Although that is probably related more to my leaving the faceplate under the seat rather than bringing it inside. Still, I'd like to know if I'm leaving the faceplate attached by accident. I just want a radio that will read burned CDs (non protected MP3s) and pause them when I turn off the car. I mainly listen to podcast on the CD so it's convenient to have that pause when the car is turned off. I had a Sony CDX-GT200 that did this but it doesn't let you know the faceplate is still attached. |

Try getting a length of rope or chain and super gluing one end to your faceplate and secure the other end to your keychain. That ought to condition you to remove your faceplate soon enough. :-) -dan |

Get a beep if faceplate isn't removed
I know every Pioneer head unit I have in each of my vehicles beeps after the
car is shut off and the face folds down in the process to make it easier to remove the face. |

I love the features on my Panasonic but it's less than sturdy and, therefore, I don't actually recommend it. Just thought I'd throw the option out there for you, though... |
