California Audio Labs Icon MK II CD Player
My (10) year old Cal Labs Icon Mk II CD player has recently gone dead.
An audio repair technician has suggested that the fuse is probably blown and should be replaced. The question is: how do I locate the fuse? Do I have to open the entire unit? This company is no longer in business. |

Just pop the top. I used to own an Icon, and it's very easy to remove the top.
As I recall, there is an in-line fuse near the transformer. If that's all it is, this is the proverbial 40 cent solution. Good luck! |

If it's a power supply fuse, it should be easy to find inside, once the top cover is removed. Beyond that...the company was sold to Go Video in Arizona; they can direct you to a technician in Arcata, CA. who handles the remaining California Audio Labs warranty work for them under contract, and who can do off-warranty work on the CAL units. -Gene Poon |
