Default Clarion CDC6350 16 pin wiring harness pinout

Hi everyone,

I had Clarion CDC6350 car CD player that was playing up and replaced it with
a DVD player and used a process of deduction to tell what the wiring harness
layout was for the Clarion. I used a manual from a more recent Clarion CD
deck that seemed to match colours precisely and matched the existing
install.

Hope this helps someone.

The Clarion CDC6350 uses a 16 pin wiring plug. Looking from the non-wiring
side (ie looking into the plugs) here's the pinouts
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
10 11 12 13 14 15 16

1 not used
2 not used
3 Red
4 Blue/White
5 Purple
6 Purple Black
7 Grey
8 Grey Black

9 not used
10 not used
11 Yellow
12 Black
13 Green
14 Green Black
15 White
16 White Black

Yellow = 12v for memory backup (must include a 10A or 15A inline fuse)
Red = 12v - only powers up when you have ignition
Black = Ground
Blue/White = Signal to tell your power antenna that it's time to activate
Grey +ve / Grey Black -ve = Front Right
White +ve / White Black -ve = Front Left
Purple +ve / Purple Black -ve = Rear Right
Green +ve / Green Black -ve = Rear Left

Best regards,
Richard Dale.
