Default Amp question, help please.

I was wondering what would be around the perfect amp for the following subs,
in a bandpass box

two 15 inch cerwin vega subwoofers
800 Watt Set (400 Watts Maximum Power Each)
S.V.C. 4 Ohm Voice Coils for Maximum Installation Flexibility
Response down to 20 hertz

Thankz

All of the following are "muscle amps"

Crown DC300A, since they go cheap and lack of subletly is not important.
Hafler DH-500
Parasound HCA-2200 -- the non-mark II model goes cheap, and whatever
differences exist are not important to your application

Actually, the above are still overkill.

Any of the "professional" bipolar amps, many of which have huge power
output, but lack clarity, are excellent choices for this app. These
amplifiers have fans and plenty of protective circuitry. I actually use a
Yamaha to drive a subwoofer in one of my systems.
