Chrysler Infinity Sound
I have The 94 Chrysler LHS Infinity sound and i want to replace the factory Amp. I notice that the stock amp only has 12 Pins out (4 for each 6x9 and 2 for door) what are the Dash speakers running on? The Head Unit or are they wired parallel to some speaker? Can someone correct me or help me out.
Thanks |

I would guess 2 forthe woofer and 2 for the tweeter. I believe the dash speakers are running off the head unit. you can test that by unplugging the amp. If the dash spakers play then they run off the head unit. if they stop then thay are off the amp |

Well, i tried it and found out that the dash is on the amp. Well in that case how is this whole system wired? I want to buy a higher output amp but dont know what the wiring for the speakers look like. I kno that i'll be taking off 2 wires for the woofer on each 6x9's so that'll leave 8 wire's left (4 Speakers). |

Well i went back and Recounted the wire on the stock amplifier, I had recounted 16 Wires. That means 4 for back 2 for Door and dash. Can anyone find me a Decent 6 channel amplifier? All help will be appreciated.

Inverting Subs in a ported box.
I have my subs inverted in a ported box:
http://www428.pair.com/mosfet/mtx.html I have tried it both ways and notice no difference in the bass one way or another. MOSFET "jimbo_limited" wrote in message ... I have a pair of 10 RF HE series subs and i have them in a ported box. Is it True that you can hit lower notes by doing this? I've was reading another forum that i glanced at and they've stated that if you do this setup that you'll have to switch the polarity. Positive in Negitive... Vise Versa... -- jimbo_limited |

The difference could be the displacement of the sub itself. That much
volume is "added" to the box as the subwoofer is not longer occupying the same space. Depending on the sub, this could be a fair amount, or hardly anything, and depending on the box design may or may not make a noticeable difference in sound. As for reversing polarity... possibly. Just switch them around to whichever sounds best to you. You'll just want them wired the same as each other. Many head units and amps nowadays have a 0-180 degree switch on them as well so you don't have to mess with the wiring. Just use whichever sounds better. That could be because your box is not made for the subs that you are using.
Duh. LOL In article , "MOSFET" wrote: I have my subs inverted in a ported box: http://www428.pair.com/mosfet/mtx.html I have tried it both ways and notice no difference in the bass one way or another.
