Ace Tone FUZZMASTER - auction ending soon!
AUCTION ENDING SOON: ACE TONE FUZZMASTER Model FM-2
Ace Tone was an early Japanese producer of guitar effects pedals, and its founder went on to form the Roland Corp. in 1972. Between 1968 and 1972 Ace Tone produced the FUZZ MASTER models FM-1, FM-2, and FM-3. These vintage, collectible fuzzboxes are now very hard to find. The FUZZMASTER FM-2 circuitry features an octave (pitch doubling) circuit before the diode-clipping fuzz circuit. This gives the sound desirable tonal characteristics not obtainable with the clipping alone that most such pedals have. This FUZZMASTER FM-2 is one of the earliest pedals ever to feature TRUE BYPASS. FEATURES: True Bypass footswitch. Power on/off switch on the VOLUME control pot. TONE BOOST control. TONE footswitch. This switches in a midrange-scooped sound, which can be emphasized with the TONE BOOST control. Powered by a 9V battery. The bottom cover is missing, but otherwise this pedal is in very good condition. I am not the original owner of this pedal. It may be a rehousing job or a clone, but it is well built and the circuitry IS that of the original Ace Tone FUZZMASTER FM-2.
