( I know, who the hell am I! ;-) They are very quiet and well made. Unbalanced line ins only. Volume, pan, Send 1 and Send 2 knobs per channel. It's a single rack space so if you get two of them you can monitor all 24 channels of your Fostex, Tascam, Mackie, etc HD recorder on location or where ever. It's got an excellent headphone amp in it too. $120 is a very reasonable price. John L Rice |

Hal Laurent Baltimore I haven't consiously checked that I remember but I've done it a lot and didn't have problems. My Fostex D2424LV can be switched via a menu between +4 and -10 operation. It switches all the inputs and outputs at once, no pick and choose. When recording into the D2424LV I make sure it's set to +4 operation to match up with the mic pre outputs. I'd take a balance TRS cable from each D2424LV output and run them into the inputs of the Roland M120 mixer. It always worked fine for me. YMMV Best of luck! John L Rice |

It can take +4, you have to play around with the master fader and
everything has to be dialed in pretty low, but it wont distort. I use it to monitor what goes into my a/d, for this I use avid splitters that I got for 30$ each. The advantage of this is that the avid will take a balanced +4 and split it to a balanced +4 and a balanced -6. so the +4 goes to my Lynx and the -6 goes to the roland. however I also input my hedd at +4 and although I have to keep the dial down, the sound is immaculate. the unit is in perfect working condition, only the master power button fell out and I covered the hole with black tape, it is 100% functional though and is very clean cosmetically. best david "John L Rice" wrote in message ... Hal Laurent Baltimore I don't think it handles +4 levels that well...I had one I bought used and I used it for synths and with something with a lot of output (Like a Waldorf XTK), you could clip it fairly easily. The mixer is very clean and has good output but the reason I sold it was it didn't have enough headroom for me to pump 4 or 5 loud synths into it without having to really keep the master volume down low. $120 is a very good price, I paid $99 used for mine at a GC, it was a bit scuffed up....later on I sold it on Ebay, I thought I'd get $100 - $125 for it but it sold for $155.
