Default Audition: Dual Mono = Stereo?

How can I take two 24-bit/48KHz files - L/R of a mix - and get them
into a stereo file in Audition.

When I use mixdown I get 16-bit files. Dither turned off. I can't
find where to select unchanged bit depth for a mixdown.

In any case, *mixdown to track* seems like the wrong way to do this
anyhow.

Thanks,

DP

You could copy the left side and paste it into the left side of the stereo
waveform in edit view. Then do the same with the right.

In Edit View: Options, Settings, Multitrack, under Mixdowns there are two
radio buttons.
