AKG D20 wiring ?
Anybody got a schematic, or a pic of the inside of the body ?
The transformery thing is presumably a choke that hooks up with the roll-off switch .... I've just got a bunch of loose wires and am too busy/lazy to figure out the switch thang. geoff PS , if anybody interested I do have a PDF of he orginal 'brochure'. |

Fork it over!! 2007: "I've got one with wires off connector. an't quite figure the bass-cut and transformer (choke ?) wiring. I am grafting a male XLR body into the base to replace the custom-AKG connector that is NLA. I've got some pictures off Prosoundweb forum, but my cable colours are different... Anybody got some details (AKG don't ....)". geoff Jack geoff |

Hi. Can I ask You for a d20 wiring, please? Mine doesn't have a switch... Regards. Robert Not the rotary selector switch on top of the mount ? Lots of dissembled pix if you do a google image search for "AKG D20", but actually wiring schematics very hard to find, and I do have most .... What do you need to know ? I have one, but with the rotary selector. Else I guess it would just be capsule to transformer to (non-XLR) socket. geoff |

If you're wondering where to get a mating connector, I dunno. I think it's a Tuchel. Yeah it is Tuchel. I found one and made a short adaptor lead to XLR. Sorry, can't remember where I got the connector from. Had to do similarly for some other old AKG hand-helds I have ( D19C ?) Pinout top-left on this pic: http://tinyurl.com/hc2khpa ...... or here if you are nervous of TinyURLs: https://www.gearslutz.com/board/atta...ng-diagram.jpg geoff |
