HT Delay Switch
Posted on a.b.s.e a schematic to delay B+ after power on.
Something different as it is (almost throughout) hollow state. Now, who's the purist to eliminate the last bit of upgraded sand (D1) without compromising the circuit's functionality? Regards, Gio |

The operation of the circuit shown in the schematic is not clear from just reading the schematic and the authors didn't undestand that people in 2011 prefer to look at a schematic and see straight away how it works without having to wade through a lengthy and obtuse article about how it works. But I much prefer to avoid any use of vacuum tubes in power supplies and just use simple solid state devices and a simple ordinary 12V relay or two which can all still be purchased easily and cheaply as discrete parts from Radio Shack, Mouser, Maplin, Dick Smith, Jaycar, etc. Patrick Turner. |
