Default Testing a #40 on a TV7

Hi:

I'm trying to test a number 40 (Cunningham CX-340) for a friend on a TV tester.
The settings in the book a

5.0 ER3-2000 32 __ B 8 55

Is the test switch "8" above a mis-print? When I press it, nothing happens.
Also, when I press the mutal cond. test switch "3", I get a measurement well
below the minimum 55. I know it does not look good for this tube, but I want
to make sure that I'm testing it correctly. Any idea? Thanks!
