I think newsguy did pay attention to complaints of forgeries and slander.
Sonicnews seemed to be less responsive.

ago, give or take. I've never seen him go away. I've never seen him
give a good or accurate piece of advice either. I have also never see
ANY proof good or bad that anyone he calls a scammer is such. He
never mentions REAL scammers just a few people that post here; who,
if they were scammers would have come out long ago and would be gone
from this group years ago. I suppose at one time before I arrived,
there were a lot of actual scammers. When access to Usenet was just
starting to grow I can imagine thieves were rampant, including the
oldes thief here....

If he starts posting through google, then he will have to open a new
account every day. For the truly mentally unbalanced, this is just a
minor hurtle.

The responsiveness of news providers has improved tremendously in the past
few years.

The only case in his FAQ of an actual scammer is Randy Boggess, who Dave
Palmer dealt with very effective. Brian had absolutely nothing to do with
it.
