Dubbing service wanted in Kingston Ontario
I've been contacted by someone who lives near Kingston Ontario, asking
if there is a studio in the area which can dub a direct-recorded aluminium 78. She has enquired at a local recording studio, but they can't do it. Does anyone know of a suitable copying service in that area? -- ~ Adrian Tuddenham ~ (Remove the ".invalid"s and add ".co.uk" to reply) www.poppyrecords.co.uk |

Closest place I know would be Graham Newton in Dawn Mills, http://audio-restoration.com. You should all be warned that if it is a pregrooved record made on a machine that crimps the top of the groove, it requires a very weird stylus, and if the studio doesn't have one they might have to bill the customer for it. It's not something anybody uses very often. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

It is a "Voice" record which was recorded in England by a machine with either a leadscrew or a scroll plate under the turntable. -- ~ Adrian Tuddenham ~ (Remove the ".invalid"s and add ".co.uk" to reply) www.poppyrecords.co.uk |
