Default Head diffraction simulation

Hi to all!
For a school project, I must implement a filter that simulates a head
diffraction.
Precisely, my sound is a voice, and I must simulate the diffraction
due to the head. The sound is emitted by the head.
I'm searching a simple filter.
Anybody can help me, with links, papers, or other?
Thanks!

Search for "HRTF" or "head-related transfer function".

Thanks for the help, but I'm not sure that this is what I'm searching.
My source is a head, in front of my, and from this source come a sound
(a voice).
I would implement a filter that simulates the voice diffraction due to
the head (source) position (for example if I rotate the head).
So I'm searching for a diffraction filter where the obstacle is the
head (if is back-face me).
Thanks!

Then try the following, which I got froma search of the
phrase "speech directivity". It'll get you started.

http://pcfarina.eng.unipr.it/Public/...203-AES118.pdf
http://www.acoustics.hut.fi/asf/bnam...papers/o11.pdf
http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/Xplore/lo...415.pdf?temp=x
http://www.teachernet.gov.uk/_doc/64...ent%20v1.0.pdf
http://www.acoustics.hut.fi/publicat...osaari_mst.pdf

None of them have a filter spec, per se, but all have data from
which one could curve-fite a filter.

Check especially the references and citations in each: there
is a rich collection from which to draw.

Good luck.
