Default Q: Advanced pitch correction / time-shift plug-in?

hi. i'm playing around with the pitch of some sounds (mostly vocals)
and am making many detailed changes for some unconventional effects
(not just of the form `intonation corrections,' so advice of `find
better singers' would waste everyone's time).

i'm using logic pro as my daw and i think it's pitch correction / time
shift capabilities are pretty nice. however, it's only able to select
a region and apply a uniform change across the region. what i would
like is something where i can `draw' the level of pitch change across
a region: like sweep the pitch upword linearly, or non-linearly.
something like this for time shift would be most welcome too. say, to
add artificial ritardandos, etc.

does anything like this exist? anything free?

also, what about features like a plug in that not only lets you adjust
pitch, but can even tell you the avg. pitch of a monophonic sound in
some region?

thanks,
david

SoundForge does this [1].

Serato's Pitch 'N Time has a graphics morphing mode that
does this. I think it may only be available for Pro Tools
though.
