Hello,

I'm wonding about sounds cards with optical output. I'd like to run an
optical cable from a computer to a DAC.

I'd like to do this with an optical cable, unless someone has a better
recommendation (note, I must run this cable about 10m).

I want to move all my CD's on a hard disk and play them from my desktop.

Does anyone know a good quality card for this purpose?

I use a Hoontech DSP24 Value with the digital extension board, now marketed
by ST-Audio. It has optical and RCA digital in/out and works with 44.1 to
96kHz. The price is below 150$.
