Power ratings
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...5004 072&rd=1
Other auctions in this category offer "peak" wattage ratings anywhere from 150 to 800 Watts with otherwise similar verbiage. Does anybody know if this is legal? Does the FTC not require an RMS rating according to a particular test procedure? Of course I would never suggest that this amplifier is not accurately rated -- my question only goes to what is required in the US in order to advertise an amplifier. |
