Pure Data
I coded a Wav2bmp convertor, which is hosted on my website:
http://grimoire.genesismuds.com I've go quite a lot of cool effects happening with it, and I'm using along side of audacity, and am also playing with a vocoder. What I'm doing is taking music I make with a vocoder, and blending the effect with the real sound to create more realistic sounds. But when I use wav2bmp it adds noise to the file, so I'm editing the file down and taking the noise out with audacity. So I've been researching ways to better take the noise out of sound files and have found I could sample music from my CDs, and create my own loops. But the noise filter software I'm using isn't that great. An adaptive noise filter would be better, because it can isolate certain sounds, that are usually in the background, and minimize them in the real recording. And I'm sure I could code one simply with pure data, and even code a wav2bmp convertor if I needed to. But the reason I wrote the wav2bmp convertor was so I could see the pure data of wav files, and with this tool I can program it. So I should be able to blend music together with vocoders and everything else without any of the noise. I'm downloading it now and I am really really excited. What can anyone else tell me about this program? |
