Default 50 Years Hence?

With respect to the High End only -- Will they still be two channel?
Will some current speakers be regarded like Strads?
Will people fruitlessly try to recreate the varnish on a Dunlavy, believing
that the secret to the sound is in the varnish?

Will people then believe that it is impossible to make a good speaker for
less than $100,000 ?
Will amplifiers be fueled by integral biobatteries, in a world that can no
longer provide the power for Class A operation?
Will the CD have long vanished, leaving "them" with only vinyl?

Will thermionic emission have yielded at last, perhaps to FED (field
electron devices) ?

Or is the future of audio unimaginably different from the past?

Will all amplifiers be nano switchers, sprayed onto speaker cones, powered
by local microwave emitters?

In the year 2055, if Man is still alive?

And of course -- Will people still be squabbling on r.a.o., vying for a
barnyard sort of immortality?

Arny and George will still be here. You don't think death could
interrupt what they have going.

At least they won't still be burdened with keyboards and mice in 50 years.
The rest of the song may remain the same.

Nice try, paulie, but Arnii "knows" he's going "heaven", whereas I'm
content to turn to dust.

memory cubes, the size of dice. on one side, an integrated OIW
owner identification window, for thumbprint scans, to be changed
3 times max, to curb sh sales ;-)

it was a tight race, for some time, but in the end, bioengineering existing
lifeforms turned out to be more reliable and cheaper than building
artificial new ones with nannites
we use WCCFE speakers, nowadays*, that's wirelessly controlled
cricket field emission speakers - very efficient stuff :-)

Good!
no ABX in heaven.

However, they do have ABX in Hell.
There are various jokes about the "three doors."

Outdoor speakers with metal cones are very popular in Hell.

No, Robert, you've got it all wrong. Heaven doesn't need moderating.
