Yes , it looks like the good old Analog transfer will be the method of
choice on this one. The purpose of buying the box is to archaive radio
shows that were recorded on DAT, @ 32KHz (so someone could get 4 hours
on one tape, and save a couple of bucks). These shows were recorded so
badly that i wanted to run them through an analog compressor anyway to
at least get the level consistant.

I checked on my friend's Protools HD system and they don't offer 32KHz
anymore.

"Sound Designer 2" as, someone suggested, would be great if i could get
it to work on any OS X box and find the hardware to work with it (
though we have a couple of 442s but no cards in our scrap pile).
