Hi,

I've got a problem with my Head unit in a new car I have just bought.
Basically the light for the LCD display is very dim, if on at all. The
lights for the other controls around the player are ok, just not that
one.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

I've got a nasty suspicion its replacement time but I'd like to save
it if possible as the sound is good and I don't fancy a trip under the
dash to play with the wires!!!

Sounds like the back light is out. It may be cheaper to replace it than fix
it.
You can find replacement face plates on eBay sometimes also
