2001 Silverado Speakers
What size are the speakers in the front doors? Crutchfield has 6.5 and
5.75 that supposedly fit. Does that mean they are 6.5 and you have to use an adapter to fit the smaller speakers? If I remember correctly someone here once said the Silverados actually had an opening for a 6.76 speaker so you need an adapter (or build one) no matter what you put in. Thanks |

6.75 is right (we've dont it and used Pioneer speakers), you can use
Pioneer speakers because most of the newer Pioneer speakers have 4 outer mounting tabs which work in the truck. Of course, you can also get 6.5 to 6.75 adapters, whichever you prefer. staff @ http://www.autotoys.com |

Not much editing needed to be done in my 03 s10. -- Cyrus *coughcasaucedoprodigynetcough* |
