If hum increases when bass attenuator is activated: replace coil L1 b.) If hum varies when mic body or cap is touched with hand: check ground connection between cap and housing. Open microphone and carefully scrape out the inner side of the housing 15 and the surface of the cap 13 where it makes contact to the housing. If necessary clamp a piece of copper foil or thin bare stranded wire between cap and housing. Since some while a contact spring is used to ensure a faultless ground connection. geoff |
