Hi,

I am looking for a loudspeaker with THD less than -50dB. I understand
that lower the THD, more the linear the loudspeaker becomes. I have
this requirement in testing of echo cancellation algorithm in real
time. could somebody suggest.

You might want to look into the NHT Xd system. Their whole raison
d'etre is low distortion; system specs 0.00315% THD, which equates to
something like -130dB.

They don't sound too bad either.

This is true. OTOH this NHT system is the first of a new wave of speakers with
dedicated dsp control which may be the next breakthrough technology advance.

That's fine, but frequency response is only half of the audible
characteristics of speakers. If their spatial pattern sucks, then the
speakers will suck, no matter WHAT their frequency response. Do they
know that?
