Default 814 like as triode?

Hi All:

Anyone knows the conditions of work of pentodo 814 like triode with
grid grounded ? (for a a RF linear amplifier )
Thanks in advance

814 data is at

http://www.mif.pg.gda.pl/homepages/f.../049/8/814.pdf

The G2 voltage determines Ia as does bias Vdc on g1.

And g2 shouldn't be more than 400V.

So you'd have to be careful that the Ea for triode isn't too high
lest Pg2 exceed the 6.7 watts allowed.

814 has quite high Ea ratings, but these could not be used for triode.

Grounded grid would also mean the cathode input impedance would be low.

Ra will also be low, and affect the Q of the anode tank LC circuit.

But you do get triode linearity for class AB.
