Default no clue what i'm doing...mp3 player question

hi

as evident in the subject line, i have no idea what i'm doing. i'm
not into car stereo stuff so if anyone can help me, i would greatly
appreciate it.
I have been researching ways to hook up my mp3 player in my car. I
bought a belkin tunecast fm transmitter and it has weilded somewhat
lucklaster success. What are, if any, other options i have besides
the fm transmitter? I have a factory stereo in a pontiac sunfire. I
have no Aux inputs in the car. is there a way to install just an Aux
input without buying a whole new stereo? is there any other way to
achieve what i want to do on a limited budget? anything suggestions
would be great.

thanks

Well you tried a FM modulator and that wasn't too good so I would suggest
plugging the player into a boombox and listening to that. Short of buying a
new head unit I can't think of anything else you could do.
