Keith. When I used to make my living in the live sound business, I did hundreds of folk festivals, and worked with Odetta several times a year. She was always a consummate professional, as well as being courteous and friendly. She was a welcome contrast to some of the self-centered ego-driven talent. In addition to having a great voice, and knowing how to use it, and having a deep understanding of the meaning of the songs she sang, she was just a lot of fun to work with. She will be missed. |
