Default Test Tone Generator

I'm using Test Tone Generator version 3.92 to make some sound tones for use
in car. Anyway, I've burned a CD using WAV files and the CD won't play in
my car or in my home players. It works fine with my computer however. I
used Music Match to burn the CD...which I've used many times to burn audio
CDs for in car use without any problems. Anyway, it's kind of frustrating
because I can't figure out any other way to make it work. Anyone else have
any experiences?

Tony

have you verified that the cd players can read wav files? Darn near
any computer can, but audio equipment is not the same thing. They may
be set to read only mp3, OOG, or other formats (and there are quite a
few out there... including one which may soon sweep the scene clean
and take over). You may need to convert the files to some other
format. It might also be that when you finished making your copies,
you did not "close out" the disc... which prepares it to be read when
played.

He mentioned that other audio files encoded as wav's work though. I'm
thinking possibly verify that the sample rate is 44.1k and the rest of the
parameters before burning.

are you talking about DVDMP3?
i can't wait for that to be available in the car audio market.
i burned one disc in that format (DVDMP3), via the latest version of
nero,
and it could hold an astounding 800+ tracks,
but....
the only things i could play them on was my computer, and home DVD
player,
when this makes it way to the mobile enviroment,
it will down right amazing.
the sound quality was terrific also,
as opposed to standard MP3

Thanks, Mark. That was it. I was using 22.05k for most of the disc. I
changed it to 44.1 and it works fine now.

No. Actually there is another one, and if I can recall where I filed
the note on it I toss it in. But wayyyyy smaller files and with no
loss of quality detected.
