Default Split MP3 File Into 1-Minute Tracks

I want to (easily) split an MP3 file into 1-minute tracks. I could use my
Adobe Audition 1.0, but that is cumbersome. My EZ CD Creator doesn't seem to
do it. I tried some splitters, like Cool MP3 Splitter, but they trample
short times (0.1s) between tracks, which is noticeable when playing back.
Any suggestions?

Upgrade Audition 1.9 to 1.5 with the in-built CD burning. It supports track
markers.

Plan B: put in the track markers with Audition 1.0, burn with Nero 6.0 and
pay attention to the options for honoring track marks.

I got the upgrade to 1.5, which is good in its own right. However, it does
not do what I want to do. Although I can manually insert cues, it is tedious
and takes a long time (load, cues, etc.). I might have to live with the
simpler ones and live with the occasional 0.1s-0.2s of lost audio.

Loading and saving can be sped up considerably by having two drives, and
putting the data files and the Audition work space (Temp) on different
phycical drives.

I believe that the Cuelisttool can place track marks at timed intervals.

Once you get the track marks into the .wav file, standard burning software
like Nero 6.0 can burn CDs with the specified structure.
