MTX JackHammer: I want dat ****!
Yes, a car have its own set of particular characteristics, but the laws
of physics don't cease to exists in a car either. And believe me, i'm not dismissing the importance of the subjective part of seting up a sound system. All of them. The following is not directed at you specifically... it's a general rant on the state of audio! I'm about equally into car audio, live sound works, home hifi and home theater. I surf various online forums and have no bias pro or con any group. It's always fun to watch users groups boast about this and that concepts they have in their own group and think is exclusive. Hifi have their "warm" tube amps and must bi-wire Car audio have their "fast" 8 inches subs with mandatory dual voice coil Live sound don't use those "whimpy" 12 inches drivers Home theater speakers must always be "shielded" Well, I got news for them! Some pro amps are suitable in a home hifi Some car subs are OK in the home theater Some home subs are OK in cars Some 12" car subs have more displacement than some pro 18" Some pro gear have tubes. Some great hifi have ICs You can built a home theater without shielded drivers Pro cables can be oxygen free too! Gold plated connectors are good idea in all of those industries As is full range class-D Etc... You can do whatever works!! The only thing constant in audio is that Bose sucks equally in cars, live-sound, hifi and home theater! End of rant.
