Default 7-second delay

I have a buddy that needs a 7-second adjustable delay for backhaul
satellite (amateur) applications. I was going to give him my old
Yamaha SPX 90 II until I noticed that it only does up to 2000 msec of
delay on each channel.

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive adjustable Digital Delay device for
this application that gives living room audio quality at least? I was
going to check the Behringer web site.

Thanks,
Chris

PS I'll monitor the news group, emails aren't read at this address.
Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't call it inexpensive, but it is realible and easy to use.

All the software solutions require a computer with soundcard...that won't be
inexpensive either.

But as one's very likely sitting there anyway....

Or an old junker that someone is throwing out is perfectly
capable of doing this kind of delay (or likely several other
functions that may be useful.)

Can you name some XP software to do the delay?

Eventide made a lot of money making their broadcast model.

They probably still sell one.
