[OT] Song - Please help
I have not recorded many bands. Mostly large and small classical ensenbles
/ choirs. I just joined a band a little while back and we are trying to do a CD. This is our 1st song. I do not know that much about mixing this type of music. Any pointers would be appreciated. http://www.sonarama.com/1.0/zina_ind...radise.mp3&m=1 Thanks, Max Arwood |

Sounds fine to me. Pretty good job and well balanced. Now get back to
work! g -- Roger W. Norman SirMusic Studio "Max Arwood" wrote in message m... I have not recorded many bands. Mostly large and small classical ensenbles / choirs. Overall the mix sounds good. The only thing I'd mention is the lead
vocal (you did ask for opinions) - I'd like a bit more clarity - less low mid. It could be the mp3, but the way the female vocal sounds on the harmony and on her solo lines at the end make me want to hear the lead voc with just a tad less murkiness. It's so subjective and you know what they say about opinions... All in all good job! |

I agree, overall it was good but I thought the vocals were a tad
muddy. Also the toms... or maybe next time have the drummer hit them less often, I found the fills annoying but perhaps if they'd sounded better it wouldn't have bugged me as much. Thanks - I am going to lower the volume of the toms a bit.

Thanks Will,
Someone else said there was a peak around 350 or so. Got to take a look at that. Max Arwood "will" wrote in message ... Overall the mix sounds good.
