Default Conn St-11 Strobe Tuner Calibration Mode Failure

I have an ST-11 that recently stopped calibrating correctly. When
switched into CAL mode the calibration knob has to be turned about 50
cents flat to indicate good calibration. In NORMAL (tuning) mode
however an "E" from a tone generator shows as about 50 cents sharp
until the calibration pot is turned back to the zero position. So it
seems to be working fine except that the calibration function is now
off by 50 cents. Has anyone else seem this sort of failure before?

Does this have a crystal control, or is it locked to the AC line like
the original strobotuners?

If it's like the original ones, I'd check the motor bearings and see if
they are gummed up.

I'm not sure which. I'll look around for a schematic.

If it was the motor bearings, wouldn't that screw up the regular tuning
too, not just the CAL?
