I am looking to dump the old and upgrade for some decent audio
equipment. I am currently living in China and am thinking of Cayin
(integrated or monoblocks 9088D) and Consonance (CD)? in combination
with B&W 802 or 803D speakers. Any comments to this set-up? If
monoblocks, should I combine these with a preamp of the same brand?

Surely you would be better inquiring amongst Chinese acquaintances?
What has a good reputation in China?

Can you try stuff out at home without obligation?

Are these actual brands made at one, actual factory with service
literature, parts, customer support? Do they publish performabce
specifications? Can they test them to see they meet them?

If so, maybe you could send us their web site, their address and phone
number, maybe where we could get schematics and stuff. For all we know
they are the McIntosh of China!
