VGC= cover or pages may have some wear, but better than GC. EC= pretty close to like new. All books here are dry, and were never moldy. RCA Tube Handbook RC-28, 784pgs, 1971 SC. VGC++, crisp and nice. $15 RCA same, but RC-27, 672 pgs, also VGC++ $15. Sylvania tube manual, 1975, 633pgs, SC, VGC, , some tubes not in the RCA books, $14 SAMS Master Tube Sub Handbook, #870, 1976, 321pgs, SC, has euro types, industrials, etc, plus base diagrams...$9 "Understanding Radio" by Watson, Welch, Eby. 2nd ed, 1951 716pgs , SC. reprinted for the US Armed Forces Institute. Wide ranging, covering from basics of electonics to antennas and VHF. No "servicing" info. has a big appendix of Sylvania tube info. VGC, $12. "Electronics Technician 3" Navy Training Courses 1960, 839pgs, SC. Scattered and overwritten, just the way the government likes it! includes Radar, Radiac, test equipment, god knows what else. 2" THICK, only 5"x8" format. Use it as a doorstop! $8 "Workbench Guide to Electronic Troubleshooting" By Robert C. Genn, Jr. 215pgs, 1977. SC, spiral bound. Cover says "Here are instant solutions to hundreds of your electronic troubleshooting problems". Well, not so fast, buster. Very scattered, I think ,, but some good info. Not for beginners! Covers antennas, aligning radios, but throws in microwave and electric motors for some odd reason. VGC, $8 "The Cathode Ray Tube At Work" by Rider, 1935, 3rd printing 1936.333pgs, HC. All you want to know about the CRT, including sweep circuits, and what all you can look at waveform wise if using an oscilloscope for tech use. VGC, $12 "Elements of Radio" by Hellman. 1943, 318pgs, HC. Used as a "pre-induction" training manual for the War Dept. Covers transformers, tubes, antennas, basic electrical theory, etc. How is the amplification factor affected byt the construction of a tube? pg 163. GC, $12. ********end of new listings************ Here is what's left of batch 11.... "Sylvainia Technical Manual" (tube manual) 1955. approx 300 pgs, SC. has all the current popular tube types, plus more data on the older types in the condensed chart in the rear. Also, includes some early TV pix tube data, 7JP4, 10BP4, etc. nice extra section SOLD "4th Ed Record Album Price Guide" by Osborne/Hamilton.1982. some good info on stereo vs mono, 60's British vs American releases... and , obsolete prices. But, good reference if you want to know how many records Fleetwood Mac released before they changed from a great blues band into a pop band, for instance. 60's-70's mostly.$7 "Servicing by Signal Tracing" by Rider, 2nd printing 1939. 360pgs, HC. One of the top 10 radio servicing classics, in my opinion. Absolutely the most valuable techniques and info for those who have a good basic grasp of radio principles, and want to service a radio much faster and get right at the problem! Read this book and you will graduate from "fooling with radios" to being a real pro. Really. VGC (spine printing faded out) $20 "Reciever Troubleshooting and Repair" by Ghirardi and Johnson., 1952, 822 pgs, HC. Another of the top 10 radio servicing classics. Its the updated, and really, better version of the old classic from the 30's called "Modern Radio Servicing". This book throws away the test equipment info of the old editions and adds FM and TV info, and other updated info. VGC, well worth $22. " RCA Television Service Data for the 630TS and 648PTK chassis... 1947, SC, 11 x 8.5" size. All the factory issued service info on these chassis. The 630 was the most copied TV chassis at the time, sort of the IBM XT of its era. Everyone built one, and RCA licensed to nearly anyone. Still one of the best TV sets of the era, highly collectable and serviceable. $12 "Principles of Radio" by Henney, 3rd ed, 1938. Orig. published 1929. 429 pgs. HC. gives good overview of radio, such as ohm's law, inductance and capacity...plus properties of resonance. Three chapters on the vacuum tube, the tube as an amplifier, and audio amplifiers. VGC, $12 "Application of Radio and Television Principles" by Coyne, 3rd ed, 1950, 299pgs, HC. Good electronics schoolbook. 4 chapters on tubes alone. Good chapter on transformers, too. VGC, $10. END OF NEW LISTINGS****************************************** *********** here are some from my previous postings: "Practical Radio Communication" by Nilson and Horning, 1943, 927 pgs, HC. has several fold-out schematics for Western Electric transmitters, has some tube theory and reciever info as well. VGC, some cover soiling, $12. "Fundamentals of Semiconductiors" by Scroggie, 1960, 160pgs, HC. All the theory to go with the book above. Both are Gernsback. this one is in original wrapper too. EC, $10 "Elements of Radio" by Marcus and Horton. 4th printing, 1950. HC. One of the classics. covers all the basics of radio. this one is worn, and the first third or so of pages have separated from the binding, but its all there and totally usable! so this gets a GC--, and goes cheap...$8 "ARRL Antenna Book" 1946, 142 pgs, covers half-wave, long wire, multiband antennas, etc, etc. SC, VGC,. $10 "Repairing Record Changers" by Ecklund, 1955, HC, 278pgs. Has nice service charts with "yes-no" choices leading you to possible solutions to your service problem. VGC- $10. "Audel's "new" Radioman's Guide" soft cover, 745 pgs, 1939,40 issue. a VERY cool looking book with a lot of good info, but not so much service oriented.
