Maybe, but SILLY price. It's called "fishing". I'm starting to see more and
more of these kinds of auctions ever since eBay started basing the listing fee
on the reserve price amount. Namely, an off-the-scale opening bid with no
reserve.

You speculate that this auction is a fishing expedition. Could it be an
attempt at avoiding completed auction fees on a potentially pricey item?
Even though WE is mentioned, I doubt there will be any bids for this...but
look at the hit counter. Just prior to this msg it was 900+ so the item is
getting a lot of exposure and there's still 5 days to go. Even though epay
can monitor all correspondence betw seller and potential bidders (in
theory), I doubt they can easily make the connection betw zero bids at
auction end and the fact the items don't get relisted...because they were
sold outside epay's realm. Private bidding too! I suppose one can do this
only occasionally w/o raising suspicions so do it only on the big stuff.
