I have had a Roland SRA-50 amp for over five years and now I need to
replace
it. I lecture, play background music, show multimedia presentations from
my
computer, and need to mix voice and music occasionally.

I want something that is as small or smaller than it, with perhaps one
extra
input source. My problem is that I don't know where to look and don't know
what to ask for:

- When I google amplifiers, I find mostly large ones for studio musicians

- Is the SRA-50 a mixer also? Is there a category in which small amps
fall?

I'd be happy to consider buying a used amp from the marketplace, but I
need
to get a better sense of what I am buying, what the product choices are,
and
what the category is called. I would be most grateful to be pointed in the
right direction and told of any URLs or on-line stores that sell amps like

If you've got loads of dosh try a Gaincard, or if not have a go at making or
ask some one to make a Gainclone, almost fit into a matchbox, try this to
start with;

Hmmm you could rip out the guts of your SRA-50 and build a Gainclone in the
box, easily.
