Default Would substitute would...

What substitute would work best for replacing C6 & C7 in the following
schematic:

http://users.rcn.com/fiddler.interport/HF14.HTM

or more directly to the schematic:

http://www.users.interport.net/~fiddler/HF14S.ZIP

What would be the difference in effects a 0.022uf to a 0.027uf used for C6
& C7 in the above linked circuit? Would it have that big of an effect on
tone? Will it throw off the design of the circuit that bad that the
resulting amp will perform poorly?

Thanks,
Mehmet

Personally, I'd go for the high side (.027mfd), but either way should
cause no problem. I mean, 25000 mmfd, given a 10 percent tolerance
ranges from 22500 - 27500 mmfd (.0225 - .0275 mfd).

Give it a try!

It will make little difference. 0.022uF and 300K turns over at about 22Hz
and 0.027uF turns over at about 18Hz.

None.

No. The value is not critical. The most convenient available value is used in
such applications. These day the 'preferred values' are slightly different.
