Sony DAT optical connector to PC
I have a Sony DTC-750 DAT player with an optical output connector in
the back. I want to connect it to a Windows XP machine via a PCMCIA card to transfer DAT recordings. It's not a S/PCIF connector. Does anyone know a card that can be purchased to make this connection? |

While I can't tell for sure, it is likely that the connector is a 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack with an optical interface at the bottom. The plug that works with it looks like a 3.5 mm headphone plug with an extended, frosted tip. The optical signal is standard toslink, its just that the connector is a little different. Does anyone know a card that can be purchased to make this connection? Any card that handles toslink. You just need an appropriate interconnect, which should be around with a little googling. |
