Default Goldring-Lenco GL-75 turntable

This turntable (still working well) has a yellow wire which is intended to
be secured to a screw on the back of an amplifier. I've just bought a new
NAD amp which, unlike the NAD model that I've scrapped as damaged, has no
such screw. What ought I to do about the yellow wire?

The mains cord of the turntable has live and neutral connections, but no
earth/ground connection, so the big pin of the three-pin standard UK plug is
not connected.

Please advise!
