Default installation at pep boys?

Would anyone recommend getting stereo equipment installed at Pep Boys?
Would Best Buy or Circuit City be better? The local installers around me
don't really have good reputations. Thanks.

It depends on what you want to have done. If it's a simple "deck and
two" or "deck and four" (i.e. a new head unit and two or four new
speakers in factory locations), then I'd feel okay going to any of the
three you mentioned. I'd probably even trust them to put in an
external amplifier. But don't go to them and start talking about line
drivers, aperiodic membranes, Fiberglas work or anything
out-of-the-ordinary. At best, their eyes will glaze over, and at
worst, they'll accept the challenge and bone it away horribly.
