Default Soundblaster Audigy software not recording

This probably involves some setting I'm not aware of, but I'm trying
to record off vinyl discs using a
Soundblaster card and Audigy 2 Platinum software. I use the Media
Source Go! feature and tested
the system on a cut of Bach; it worked fine. So I recorded the whole
side of the LP, opened the file,
and no sound. Apparently it's working, the bar starts moving and it's
counting down, but no. sound.
Hoping someone has a clue as t what I might be doing wrong.
